Fiber Optic Valley accompanied Nypro AB on a matchmaking event for cleantech* companies in Canada end of September. Nypro AB was, amongst four other companies, specially invited by the engineering consultancy company WSP to attend this event. The goal is to create new business between Swedish and Canadian companies in this very interesting and upcoming field.

WSP, and various project partners in the southern part of Sweden, has for some years developed a platform for matchmaking between Canadian and Swedish companies in the field of cleantech. The goal of the platform is to effectively initiate a dialogue between new and existing businesses and identifying potential partnerships and growth opportunities.

Nypro AB develops and delivers automatic and controlled cultivation chambers. Prime customers for these solutions are within the forest industry and food industry. With the support of Fiber Optic Valley, Nypro AB had a series of B2B meetings with companies and organizations in the cities of Halifax, Ottawa and Montreal / Quebec. During the week in Canada, Nypro AB reached several interesting contacts that they are now to develop further, with the goal of generating business on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

– It’s exciting to join Nypro on this journey and it’s very interesting to build bridges between Canada and Sweden, both for us and for them, Ola Wallberg, Business Area Manager, Fiber Optic Valley.
